Implementation rate of annual development programme (ADP) in the first half of the current fiscal is satisfactory, says a high government official. Cabinet Secretary Abdul Aziz Monday informed that 29 per cent of total allocation of ADP for the fiscal year 2009-2010 was implemented till December 2009. Speaking to the media at the Secretariat after attending a meeting of secretaries of all ministries, Aziz said the rate of ADP implementation in the June-December period of FY 09-10 is much higher than that of the corresponding period of the last fiscal. He however ruled out a hundred implementation of the total money allocated for ADP in the 2009-2010 budget. But he hoped the ADP implementation at the end of current fiscal would be in the vicinity of 100 percent. Replying to a question, Cabinet Secretary said the implementation rate in the first half of 2009-2010 suggests that it would be 95 percent at the end of current fiscal. He also informed that 100 per cent net facilities would be implemented by the end of 2010. Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Ministry of Energy were leading the ADP implementation till June-December 2009. He said 34 of the total 39 projects approved by the cabinet have been implemented so far. Redtimesbd.comac/bc/h376
